LB cormorants in lower Yarra

This morning a flock of over 100 little black cormorants flew over my head
(well over my head!) as they travelled up the Yarra at about Cremorne -
about where the Church street bridge crosses the river.

Is this an unusual sized flock for this species?  I know it's "flocking"
season.
