Rosy-coloured Starling at Broome

The Rosy-coloured Starling has been relocated at Lake Eda near Broome
yesterday (Friday 24th by Andrew Silcocks & Chris Hassell?) and today
(Saturday 25th by Mike Carter and Sean Dooley).  On both days it was
found shortly after 4pm, despite people looking for it almost all the
day.  Both days it was found at the east end of the lake where there
is an old fence line.  It was still there at dusk today when Mike
and Sean left.

Note that Lake Eda is on Roebuck Plains Station, and permission must
be granted before access.  The best chance of permission is to
arrange it through the Broome Bird Observatory.  The local guides of
George Swann, Chris Hassell and Adrian Boyle are all busy this
week.

Mike Carter notes that the track is very sandy and rutted for a fair
stretch.  A 4WD is a necessity, preferably better than a RAV4 but
Mike and Sean Dooley made it there in a RAV4.
