Hi,

Adrian Boyle, who is currently without email access, has asked me to post an update: The Rosy Starling was seen again today (24 September) in the Lake Eda area near Broome. It is elusive but it is there, and some keen birders are now flying to Broome in the hope of seeing the bird.

There is slight local concern that the station-owner might become annoyed at repeated requests from bird-watchers to go onto his land. Everyone who has been looking for the bird so far has been very well behaved so far, but this bird is not surprisingly attracting a lot of attention. To maintain good relations between birders and the station owner, Adrian therefore suggests that anyone aiming to look for the bird should contact Broome Bird Observatory, who can co-ordinate access arrangements when necessary.
