Our first Channel-billed Cuckoos of the season arrived here in suburban Nundah just north of central Brisbane today and they are really making their presence felt. They are upsetting the local Torresian Crows (which raised a C-b C chick last summer). Also saw our local Bush-hens today for the fist time this year along Kedron Brook. On Tuesday we finally saw a Blue-winged Kookaburra near Lake Clarendon in the Lockyer Valley after hearing about their presence for many years.
