See if this works.
Swamp Harriers are regular at Maddens Plains. Up until 18 months ago a pair
was regularly seen there, but one was hit by a car and since then only
single birds have been seen there (one of my work colleagues drives the F6
most days).
Cheers,
Peter

Subject: [BIRDING-AUS] Swamp Harriers and coastal heaths
Date: Mon, 20 Sep 2004 07:20:44 +1000
Hi Birders,
Terrill Nordstrom reported on a Swamp Harrier at Maddens Plains south of
Sydney. While it is many years since I have lived in Sydney and regularly
travelled south along the coast, I do remember seeing Swamp Harriers over
that low costal heath at Maddens Plains. I would suspect that the sighting
is not unusual because Swamp Harriers are sometimes seen on the coastal
heaths here on the Central Coast. However I may be wrong and maybe the
Illawarra birderes have better knowledge of this than I do.
