A pair of WF herons seen10 days ago busily building a nest in a large Camphorlaurel tree over looking the local Council swimming pool & now  female is sitting in the nest. The mate comes in about 4pm, gives a greeting call when landing on the roof of the dressing shed.
The drought is hitting the North coast of NSW hard but these two have settled for an artificial waterway, in Alstonville..
Frogs call in the area so food must be available.
