Interesting that you get Magpie Geese at the Zoo and of course there is a
large colony at Serendip just a few km away - yet they are rarely seen (at
least by me) at the WTP. Anyone any thoughts on this - or indeed anyone see
them there regularly and tell me where I am going wrong?

Hi all,
Saw a gorgeous Grey goshawk (white morph variety) perched along the
Werribee River whilst taking my tours through Werribee Zoo yesterday. The
zoo is a great place to work and visit as we often have lots of resident
and visiting Cape Barren Geese, Magpie Geese, Brolga and assortment of
water birds who often stayover in transit from WTP. Our newest natural
additions are a family of Cape Barren Geese, two proud parents and three
fluffy goslings who are enjoying the benefits of growing up on the fox-free
zoo grounds.
Cheers,
Prue Simmons
