Hi all,
I've just put up the latest upload to my website

As well as progressing on trhe Amazona parrots, I have updated Motacilla flava and Motacilla citreola.

I was motivated to do this because of the AOU's acceptance of the split between M. flava and M.tschutschensis proposed in Pavlova et al, 2003,Auk,120(3):744-758.

Their data showed that both M. flava and M.citreola were not monophyletic.  If you accept their evidence regarding tschutschuensis, you must also accept their evidence regarding M.taivana, Green-headed Wagtail.

Their data also indicated that M.citreola Citrine Wagtail required splitting.  Their data related to M. werae Steppe Citrine Wagtail.
This left open the question of what to do with the subspecies M.c. calcarata, which was not included in Pavlova et al's data.
On zoogeographic grounds, and also because of a zone of intergradation between werae and calcarata in the region of Kirgizia, I put calcarata with werae.  Since calcarata Hodgson,1836 antedates werae (Buturlin,1907), the split species becomes M. calcarata.
I haven't done the full synonymy for these yet.

I'd be grateful for any feedback, particularly on the distribution of subspecies.
Thanks,
John Penhallurick
