Hi folks, I don't own a GPS but I am thinking of buying one some day so the current thread has been interseting for me. I would like to make the point though that it is still very important to have good compass and map-reading skills. I think a compass should always be carried as a back up. What would we do if the GPS gets damaged or it's batteries expire etc?
