Hi again
I would like to thank all the people who responded to my rfi's before my
trip to N Qld from which I have just returned. I have not had the chance to
reply to everyone individually yet as some responses came through while I
was away. I'll also send trip notes to birding aus in due course as some
people asked for these. I'm off to Brisbane in just over a weeks time so
I'll give you a buzz then Tom and others - thanks!
Cheers

n. Or maybe there is someone else who knows about data recovery from
memory cards. I would really like the
photos on the card back as the majority of them were taken during a trip
with Chris Dahlberg on the Daintree river, a fantastic trip in itself, and I
got some great shots of a whole range of birds including Papuan Frogmouth
and some real close-ups of Nankeen Night-heron in brilliant early morning
light.
What happened to my card (it's a 256 MB SanDisk) was that after taking about
110 photos the camera simply said "card error". I then put it into my
digital video camera which could still read it and show the pictures, but
after a few days gave up on it, too. I took it to a photo lab in Cairns
where they tried to "do a recovery on it" as the lady called it, but without
any luck.
Any assistance from anyone would be immensely appreciated.
Cheers
