A ONCE-CRUCIAL piece of Tasmanian fox evidence has been thrown into
doubt by a wildlife ranger suggesting it was likely to have been a hoax.
Nick Mooney, a ranger with the Primary Industries, Water and Environment
Department, Nature Conservation branch, has described a fox pelt said
to be genetically linked to a fox shot at Symmons Plains in 2001 as
"indeed likely an irresponsible hoax". .....
