Hi All.

Spent about 3 hours this morning sea-watching at my usual spot. Picked up my first Giant-Petrels and Great (Brown, Southern) Skuas for the season. Also reasonable numbers of Albatross, including a possible Grey-headed, but I didn't get the scope onto it before it disappeared in the strong winds. Virtually completely black undwerwing and dark grey head but without the bill colour I can't say for sure.

Shy Albatross 8 (best no. for a few years)
Yellow-nosed Alb 13
Black-browed Alb 1 (unusually low no.)
Giant-Petrel sp. 1-3 (could have been the same bird each time)
Great Skua 1-3 (as above)
Fluttering/Huttons Shearwaters lots (mostly too far for me to pick which, but looked all Fluttering)
Gannets ~30-50 (inc. plenty of immatures)
White-fronted Tern up to 7 on rocks with another 10-20 feeding offshore
Unidentified Albatross ~10
