How lucky are you to see one out in the
wild. I have never seen an Albino Ringtail Possum. I know a lady (another
wildlfie carer) who lives not far from me, she saw an unusual coloured Ringtail
Possum sitting on the same branch with Brushtail Possums. She only saw it the
once. I suggested that it may have been a Greater Glider but she said a definate
Ringtail Possum, white and a lightish brown?? Ringtail Possums cover around 8
acres of their area. So you might see it again. They come into care occasionally
with a redish colour fur, which is very pretty colour. Never an Albina. We have
Albino Brushtail Possums in the Narooma area on the South Coast of
NSW.
I was out looking for the Brushtail
Possums I released last night and I got to see a Sugar Glider walking around on
branches. I have some in care at the moment. I can hear them close by at night.
This one was quiet and just going from branch to branch. I had never seen one
like that. It is such a shame that in some areas - like mine - that people are
destroying a lot of the habitat around and a lot of our birds and other wildlife
wont be around.
Wallabies and roo's wandering around the
streets even in daylight. They wont be too much anymore with no
tree's.
