g'day all,
To add to Laurie's comments re Global Priority
Envelopes.
The most popular size is 9-1/2 X 12-1/2 inches
(about A4) and cost US$9.00
(Some booksellers may add a dollar or two for
packaging)
But there is a 4 pound (~0.9kg)
limit.
Transport is by road within USA and Aust but by
Air in between
Delivery to here in Mount Isa (NW Qld) is
about 10 -12 days
If the book is too big/heavy I ask the Bookseller
to recommend cheapest alternative .. which they do.
Amazon however seem inflexible with their
mail charges & deliver only in cartons !
If the bookseller does not have a secure server
(indicated by a yellow closed padlock located on PC's bottom task bar) I
will send my Plastic Card and address info split over several emails.
Re mail from the United Kingdom &
Europe
I think they still use sailing ships for surface
mail ! It takes months to get mail.
On 22/4/04 I sent a copy of "Macdonald's Illustrated Dictionary of Aust Birds" to
England.
It arrived last Friday i.e. 15 weeks !
And charges via Air are very
expensive.
Regards Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW
Qld.
