I was doing some fieldwork for Uni on Magnetic Island last week and the three days we were there a pair of Barking Owls was seen just before light at the northern end of Magnetic St, Picnic Bay. They responded readily to mimiced calls but didn't appear to roost there. Barking Owls have only been recorded on MI in the last couple of years. Tim Dickson Townsville |
