Last Friday (30/7) while looking for the White-fronted Terns at Ricketts Pt, Beaumauris (no luck) I noticed a flock of at least 50 Australasian Gannets flying past, Cheers, Greg Hi All Sighted a raft of 200 plus Australasian Gannet floating about 100 metres off Dromana Pier (Vic, 3936 ) today. Wind in the West and seas choppy. This is an unusual location and I've not see it before. Sightings of this type off Sorrento are common but not this far North in the Bay. The Bay is quite shallow off Dromana. (Cannot guarantee that there was not a Cape amongst them) Ian D |
