Hi all

I am hoping to enlist the help of birding enthusiasts on Queensland's
Sunshine Coast in reporting sightings of the introduced common or indian
myna bird and particularly in locating potential roost sites.

I am currently doing post-graduate research into the spread of the myna in
the sunshine coast region and the habitats they are choosing to colonise.
Hopefully the information will be useful in developing early intervention
strategies to prevent the population numbers increasing to numbers seen in
other parts of the country.

Their roost and nesting sites are difficult to find across our diverse
landscape so any reports would be very useful.

cheers
Gail Spina
