And of course there is the Bird Observer from the Bird Observers Club of
Australia.

Rather humbler than Wingspan but it really is our club magazine relying
substantially on inputs from members.

Lots of interesting sightings and many, many outings to choose from.

Includes "The Harrier" which is a great way of finding out about a range of
issues (but not human diet!) that BOCA is tackling with its limited but
wonderful resources.

BOCA also publishes Australian Field Ornithology (formerly the Australian
Birdwatcher).

PS I'm a member of Birds Australia [which surely should be Birds Australasia?]
and recognise the strengths of it and of BOCA. Interesting to read recently
that there are "discussions" between the two organisations.

PPS Today (22/7) 2 immature (not juvenile - see Pizzey and Knight)
White-fronted Terns at Ricketts Point in South-east Melbourne.
