Here in South Africa there have been quite a few records of hybrids between Wattled Crane (Grus carunculatus) and Blue Crane (Anthropoides paradiseus). I don't know whether or not the offspring were fertile though. In all cases the interbreeding took place in areas where both species are under extreme threat of becoming locally extinct.
