Take two, using Greek character encoding... The Greek birdlist (e.g. http://www.birdlist.org/greece.htm) lists Eurasian Crag-Martin (Hirundo rupestris), which sounds promising. The Greek version (http://www.ornithologiki.gr/en/wob/enchecklist.htm) gives the common name as "Βραχοχελίδονο". Using Babelfish to mangle this into English, "Βραχο" translates as "rock", and "χελίδονο" as "helj'dono". That looks like a match to me. -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Paul Taylor Veni, vidi, tici - I came, I saw, I ticked. -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
