recently on another birding list, the following site was mentioned http://ip30.eti.uva.nl/zma3d/types.html it contains "3D" movable, rotatable photos in quick-time format of all the ornithological type material in the Zoological Museum Amsterdam. If you can be bothered downloading the large versions, the resulting image is quite impressive. Not many Australasian species that I could see on a quick browse - but for example the holotype of the Sumba Eclectus Parrot subspecies is viewable in all its mid-19th century glory.
