Carol Proberts asked about migrating honeyeater numbers. Here in Cooranbong,
not too far from the coast, Yellow-faced have been moving through my place
in small groups for about six weeks or so. I see groups of up to 10-15 at a
time moving due north towards The Gap at Freemans Waterhole, which would
take them into the Hunter Valley. Most activity takes place at about 4PM
each day. We rarely seem to get huge flocks of honeyeaters migrating through
here but numbers this year are well down, although the migration seems to be
going on for longer.
