introduction of Bombus terrestris to mainland Australia

Dear colleagues,
The Australian Hydroponics and Greenhouses Association are planning to apply
for permission to import the European bumblebee Bombus terrestris to the
Australian mainland. Their President, Graeme Smith, has kindly provided me
with an electronic version of a report "Griffiths, D. 2004. A critical study
on the introduction onto mainland Australia of the bumblebee Bombus
terrestris for commercial pollination of protected tomato and other crops"
which can be considered a preliminary draft of their submission. If you
would like a copy of this, let me know. I can guarantee you will find it
interesting reading.
Kind regards,
Andrew
