Hullo All.
I regard myself as "green", meaning environmentalist, and have
great regard for Bob Brown's environmental activism, including his affection
for the Great Knot.
Politics seems to have derailed the purity of his commitment.
Anyone who knocks back ten million dollars for the environment on the very
doubtful grounds of Telstra job losses is not putting the environment first.
                                  Cheers
                                        Michael

> I've just finished reading Bob Brown's wonderful new book MEMO FOR A
> SANER WORLD. The book addresses Green politics in Australia and the
> world, global warming, Antarctica, the saving of the Franklin River,
> deforestation in Tassie, indigenous affairs in Australia and... the
> plight of the great knot (which he calls a 'little Aussie traveller')
> due to the destruction of its wetlands in South Korea, courtesy of
> Hyundai's 33km dyke which will enclose 40 000 hectares of the Saemangeum
