I would be a bit worried about Helmeted Guineafowl as a self supporting
bird. In Western Australia the vineyards release them (after training them
to sleep above fox level) to keep bugs down in the vineyards.

I agree with your comment on Helmeted Guineafowl.

In January we saw flocks running wild in Chillagoe (N. Qld).
The locals said that they had been there for many years and
they were obviously self sustaining.
