Michael,
Two musts in Canberra and both within about 5 km of Civic:
Campbell Park (an area of box woodland behind the Campbell Park defence
offices), Kellys Swamp (possibly dry) and Fyshwick sewerage ponds (across
the road from KS).
Also check out the Canberra Ornithologist Group website as there are maps
available
