To Birding Aus From Desley Williams
Friend advises me re above on local news; I had missed this news and contacted a Mackay biirder who advised me that there were two Indian Miner birds at Mackay Harbour, one was caught in a restaurant and given to the Council Pest Officer; the officer came back with a trap and caught the 2nd bird. Both birds were very scruffy and not in good health. There appears to be no other birds in the area.
Howeve the Indian Miner that I myself discovered at the North Mackay suburb of Beaconsfield in March 2001 is still around this area, always on its own. I wonder if the Council can catch this one!
