David Parker asked whether the Old Bar Thick-knees were successful.

They hatched and the youngster was doing well until the nearly full-grown carcass was found in the dunes.  There were drag marks and largish bird footprints around the body.  The local birdos were unable to put the pieces together and come up with a possible culprit.

All part and parcel of breeding in an exposed situation such as a beach.
