g'day all,

1
The Jan (Vol 17 No. 1) issue of Birding World (UK) says in part ..

"The BOU and Birds Australia have just launched "Worldwide Ornithological Literature" (under the dyslexic acronym 'OWL'), a new online bibliographic database for ornithologists.

It is still under development, but it is hoped that by the end of 2004, ...there will be 100,000 entries"

The Web page itself says

I have not tested to date, but it looks like it will become another valuable research tool !

2
Did I miss this announcement either in this Birding-Aus Mailing List, Wingspan or BA mailing lists ?
I understand Hugo Phillips has moved on from Birds Australia.
Has anybody else assumed his role of Communications Coordinator ?

3
This new source does not appear to have any association with the similiar sounding
The Ornithological Web Library

Regards
Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Qld.
