Being rather new to this country, I'm not always sure what is worth mentioning on this sight. But I have noticed a few posts recently about WTNT. We were walking from Cockle Creek to South Cape Bay yesterday morning and had a flock of 100+ flying overhead. Since this sight is so far south, it made me wonder where thay had come from. I know that swifts do have a tendency to flock together during migration, but this sight was within sight of Australia's southern most point. I don't see how they could be moving north! North from where?? As I said, I'm not really sure if this observation merrits mention here, but it's certainly the first time I've seen such a large group.
