Hi all
Saw a Boobook a couple of days ago that appeared to be hunting through a
dense understorey at about 4pm EDT in the Beresfield area near Maitland (I
hadn't flushed it because it flew across my path not away from me). I have
seen a Boobook (maybe same one?) in the same locality roosting at the top of
a tall Blackbutt. Is this early daylight hunting a part of this species
normal behaviour?
Cheers
Colin Driscoll
