Peter,

The nearest in Sydney that I know of is 7.5 km north of the city or about 5 km nne of North Sydney, at Middle Cove, in May 1996 (per. Lorna Bloom.).

They were apparently resident in the city at the time of European settlement but had virtually disappeared by 1900. These days they are present in small numbers in the n. s. and w. fringes of the County of Cumberland (greater Sydney).

Andy

This morning coming to work I noticed a Wedgie flying over Sturt CP close to Flinders University here in Adelaide. Has anyone seen them flying over the CBD in their state ? How close do they venture towards the various capital cities in Australia ?.
Flinders is about 20 ks out from the city.

Peter.
