I've recieved the following response from David Drynan of the Australian Bird & Bat Banding Scheme: "Just had a chat with the folks at Serendip Sanctuary and they think it is one of their birds - apparently they only have one bird still carrying the copper/gold neck collars, and it is now 15 years old. Serendip used to have a captive breeding program for this species, and would band and attach neck collars upon release to track the fate of the birds." Peter |
