Robert Gosford queried...
Are there any falcons etc nesting downtown? I seem to remember a thread to this effect some time ago and reference was made to Peregrines in Melbourne CBD.

From my vantage point on Levels 27 and then 22 of a building on the NW corner of the Sydney CBD (where I worked until October last year), I used to regularly see a pair of Peregrine and have also reported to NSW Birdline (before I joined this forum) White Breasted Sea Eagles passing along the waterways - I overlooked Darling Harbour and White Bay and west up the Parramatta River. From my new lower perch, also in the CBD, I have seen a Peregrine sitting on the louvres that overhang the windows of the Grosvenor House Tower block.

Cheers
Tom Wilson
