G'day all,

Came across a nice bit of birding this morning on the way to work in the form of 150+ Fork-tailed Swifts feeding down to 2m from the ground. First noticed when one bird flew past the front of my car at eye level. The flock was actively feeding and appeared to be monospecific as I could not find any White-throated Needletails among them. This all occurred at 0730 in the suburb of Griffin which is north of Brisbane city and south of Redcliffe city and following storms the previous night.

Cheers
Gavin Goodyear
