To add to Michael's email; there was a large number of White Throated Needletails over the Anglesea Heath on Saturday. They seemed to be in every part of the sky you looked at, making it hard to estimate numbers, but it would have to be well into the thousands. Peter
In response to Dick's email below, White-throated Needletails have also been in the Aireys Inlet-Anglesea area (Vic) since Thrusday last week. Numbers are steadily increasing with larger flocks being seen each day. First time they have been seen this summer. 'Hi Mike and Swift Followers, Around 180 White-throated Needletails at home this morning around 8 A.M. Still no Fork-tailed Swifts as were seen in Sydney. One day !' -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
