Today at Bendora Dam in the ACT I observed a Great Cormorant which, at a distance, appeared to have a white left flank. I did not see the right-hand side of the bird. The white patch could have been some rubbish adhered to the feathers, but I also wondered if it is a leg flag. So ... has anyone marked Great Cormorants with white leg flags or something similar?
