G'day Nick Half your luck! I'd recommend "Where to find birds in north-east Queensland" by Jo Wieneke. Not sure where you would get this - someone else (Jo?) might help here. Mine was from the museum shop in Townsville. The birding-aus archives - http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/birding-aus/ are a great resource for places and people who could help with local knowledge.
