Top O' the Evening to all you Birding Aussers!   Had a trip round Wilson's Promontory and surrounding areas this afternoon (6th Feb.)  For those who don't know, this is the bit of land that sticks out into Bass Strait at the most Southerly point in Victoria.  Birds of note.
TWO ADULT HOODED PLOVER AND ONE IMMATURE AT SQUEAKY BEACH.
FIVE GANG-GANGS AT MOUTH OF TIDAL RIVER.
BLUE-WINGED PARROTS (10 - but probably many more) at the MOUTH OF THE POWLETT RIVER. This area is about 2kms. in the Wonthaggi direction from Kilcunda, on the right hand side of the road. Drive over the wooden bridge to the caravan sign and they are in salt marsh opposite the sign. - very dry at present - and easily walked in, very easy to flush these little Neophema.   Cheers Robbie Brown.
