Hi Chris,

Here in Penrith, NSW, all the Koels, young and old, and my resident Channel
Billed Cuckoo which has been around my garden since 17th December appear to
have gone (much to the relief of the Currawongs which are still out the back
'resting').

There were at least 3 young Koels alongside the Nepean River being tended by
the Red Wattlebirds, and one, perhaps two CB Cuckoos as well this year. A
good season here but I do not suppose the RWB and Currawongs think so.

I managed to get a photo today of what I believe to be a Peregrine (feeding
on something, maybe a black headed cuckoo shrike?), would appreciate
confirmation or otherwise of Peregrine, on my site as under.

Best regards - Mike
