Hi all, Went for a walk along the shores of
Chittaway Bay this morning and saw about 50 species in total. Interesting birds
included 8 Marsh Sandpipers, 40 odd Sharp-Tailed
Sandpiper, about 75 Bar-Tailed Gobwit, 10 Caspian Terns, and
large numbers of Great Egret and amoung the bush birds was
Figbird, Dollarbird, Yellow-Rumped Thornbill, Grey Butcherbird
plus the usual species in this area.
However the most interesting bird which I thought
was rather unusual was a single Striped Honeyeater which I
hadn't seen in this area before. Anyone else seen this species around Chittaway
Bay / The Entrance?
Cheers
Simon.
