Yesterday the much-sought-after Franklin's Gull was not at any of the following
spots:
Barwon River, Ocean Grove
Barwon Estuary, Barwon Heads
13th Beach
Breamlea
Point Impossible
Torquay
Point Addis
Anglesea River (downstream of Grt Ocean Road)
Anglesea surf beach
Airey's Inlet
Fairhaven
Lorne foreshore or Pier area
OK that's not terribly helpful, but it suggests the bird is hiding well or has
left the area. The movements last week suggest it MAY have been heading west,
so anyone along the Otways coast or further west might like to have a look at
local gull spots. There was a Franklin's Gull at Peterborough some years ago.
Has anyone else been looking for the gull in the last day or so?
