Hi Kurtis,
 
There are a few good spots to see the PRB in that region.  In particular, PRB's are regularly sighted at Sheepstation Ck camp site in the Border Ranges (just E of Kyogle).  As they are generally a bird that prefers the egdes of rainforest and wet sclerophyll, good sightings can be seen here.
 
Other areas include Rummery Park within Whian Whian WF (now Nightcap NP), and the Big Scrub Flora Reserve and Rocky Creek Dam.
 
They also prefer a fairly big patch/remnant size and are not found in any of the smaller rainforest remnants at the lower elevations (e.g. Big Scrub remnants).
