Hi Mike and all, my first sighting of White-throated Needletails in Gippsland this summer, about 100, very high, maybe 500 metres altitude, over the Avon River near Boisdale. Would not have seen them but for watching a circling Wedgetail, and saw the flock way above. Also had the experience of seeing a male Mistletoebird perform his sideways shuffle after depositing a glutinous seed on a twig. Duncan Fraser, Maffra Vic.
