Yesterday I was having a late snack for lunch an flicked on the TV.  The latest? Leyland offering was on and Mike was talking about the birds coming in to drink at a bore on the Strzelecki Track (I think it was).  He talked of the Top-notch Pigeons and a bit later said they were actually called Crested Pigeons.  They then zoomed in on the 'immature' Top-Notches drinking which had not yet grown their crests and were being watched over by a concerned adult.  Only problem was that the 'babies' were Diamond Doves so the crests will probably take a while to grow.

cheers
