G'day

A recent holiday to Northern NSW produced a few interesting birds.

At the wetlands in Casino, there were good views of Lathams Snipe (2). They were easily flushed from the grass areas around the ponds. Plenty of other birds as well.

There's a good dam out of casino which was low in water with very muddy edges which had a good variety of waders, including 8 sharpies, 7 marsh sands, 1 db plover, bf dotterels, bw stilt, and a range of other stuff (ducks, magpie geese etc.) If anybodys heading out  that way it would be worth checking out. I came accross it by accident. Take the road to Lismore and when you see the sign for Tatham turn right, follow it to the T then turn right.( Its visible from the junction).

Any other info required feel free to e-mail.

cheers
