And how do we know the Tree Sparrow wasn't ship assisted ??

I guess we count them when we wish to.

Chris Doughty reports the following from the BOCA trip to Cape York.

Tree Sparrow.  One at Thursday Island, Torres Strait on 9 November. The new Atlas had no records north of central NSW. This could well be the first natural occurrence of this species in Australia.

Little Stint.  One in breeding plumage on the Cairns foreshore on 19 November. This is likely the same bird Dave Mitford reported via Edwin Vella on 23 November.
