There is at present no official or acceptable total list for Ashmore Reef.
EA's list is deficient in that several species are omitted and some
inclusions are somewhat doubtful. Des Pyke, who did much work there prior to
the mid 90's, has a list of his observations but more recently George Swann
has made several surveys and I and others have made six visits since 1996.
George Swann and I are attempting to combine all these lists. Anyone with a
full copy of my report from September this year, which should include you
Alastair, will already have my list.
