Greetings, I drove Adelaide - Tolderol - Victor Harbour via Milang yesterday (24 November 2003) Tolderol had lots of water and was quite windy so not ideal wader viewing. Best birds for the afternoon: Spotted Harrier - 1 just off the SE Freeway exit at ca 5km SSW Callington Wood Sandpipers 4 at Tolderol, 5 at 6km ENE Milang Red-kneed Dotterel 30 at 6km ENE Milang Blue Bonnets 5 (possibly 7) on road from Clayton - Finniss (ca 2km NW of junction with Kindaruar Road) Would any South Australians care to comment on the frequency of Blue Bonnets in this part of the world? Pizzey and Knight's map seems to exclude Fleurieu Peninsula, whereas the HANZAB map includes F.P.
