Alastair,

I purchased a copy myself two days ago and it seems to be good and as you said with 10 new plates as well as the inclusion of the Eurasian Hobby. I also have the older copy but now with the new copy having a plastic cover it wont get so dirty and wrecked out in the field.

Yours Sincerely
Mr Jade Welch

I was in Angus and Robertson in Canberra today and noticed that the
revised Slater field guide has been released. It is the same format as
the old guide, but comes with 10 new plates and line drawings, 18 new
species descriptions, 14 new or revised maps and updates to
nomenclature. It also comes with a detachable plastic cover and I can
also report that it includes the Eurasian Hobby.
Regards
Alastair
